【摘要】:ThispartofIEC60512appliestotheelectricaloverloadtestofmatedcontactpairsofconnectors.Theobjectofthistestistodrawupastandardmethodtoassesstheperformanceofmatedcontactpairsofconnectorswithanelectricaloverloadcurrentflowingthroughthemforalimitedperiodoftimebetween100msand20s.Thetestprocedureisbasedonmeasuringtheincreaseoftemperatureduringthespecifiedperiodoftimewhentheelectricaloverloadisappliedtothecontacts.Temperatureincreaseovertimeismeasuredforanelectricaloverloadcurrent,specifiedasanintegermultipleoftheratedcurrent,andanoverloadcurrent-over-timediagramisplotted.NOTEPracticeshowsthat,forlimitedperiodsoftime,contactscanconductamultipleofthemaximumpermissiblecurrentwithoutdamagetothecontactarea.
