【摘要】:Thistestmethodwillfindusebypartiesconcernedabouttheinfluenceofcommonatmosphericpollutantgasesonthepermanenceofthephysicalstrengthandopticalpropertiesofvariousprintingandwritingpapers.Thetestwillprovidemanufacturers,paperusersandotherinterestedpartieswithquantifiedrankingsofpaperstabilitythatidentifypapersthatarestable,moderatelystableandunstablewhenexposedtocommonatmosphericpollutantgasesoverperiodsoftime.Thestabilityrankingsmaybeusedfordefinitionofthestabilityofpapertopollutantgasexposure,butwillnotdefinespecificperiodsoflifeexpectancy,asthelimitsofacceptablephysicalstrengthandopticalpropertieswillbedifferentforvarioususersofagivenpaper.1.1Thistestmethoddescribesalaboratoryprocedurefortheexposureofprintingandwritingpapertocommonatmosphericpollutantgasatelevatedlevelsofconcentrationtopermitacceleratedagingofsuchpaper.1.2Thistestmethodspecifiesthesamplepreparationandconditionsofexposurerequiredtoobtaininformationontherelativestabilityofpaperwithregardtochangeinmechanicalstrengthandopticalpropertiesbroughtaboutbyexposureofsuchpapertocommonatmosphericpollutantgas.1.3Thistestmethodprovidesqualitativeresultsregardingpaperstabilityanddoesnotdefinetheexactlifeexpectancyforagivenpapertoreachaspecifiedsetofstrengthoropticalproperties.Thelimit(s)ofacceptabilityforaspecifiedsetofpropertiesmustbedefinedbyeachenduserandwilldeterminethelifeexpectancyofthepapertobetested.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

There are three acronyms that are in general usage: nondestructive testing (NDT), nondestructive evaluation (NDE), and nondestructive inspection (NDI) (or nondestructive investigation (NDI). These terms are used by various authors to describe the same basic types of testing.
