【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversalloyandstainlesssteelboltingforpressurevessels,valves,flanges,andfittingsforhightemperatureorhighpressureservice,orotherspecialpurposeapplications.SeeSpecificationforthedefinitionofbolting.Barsandwireshallbehot-wroughtandmaybefurtherprocessedbycenterlessgrindingorbycolddrawing.Austeniticstainlesssteelmaybecarbidesolutiontreatedorcarbidesolutiontreatedandstrain-hardened.Whenstrainhardenedausteniticsteelisordered,thepurchasershouldtakespecialcaretoensurethatAppendixX1isthoroughlyunderstood.1.2Severalgradesarecovered,includingferriticsteelsandausteniticstainlesssteelsdesignatedB5,B8,andsoforth.Selectionwilldependupondesign,serviceconditions,mechanicalproperties,andhightemperaturecharacteristics.1.3Thefollowingreferencedgeneralrequirementsareindispensableforapplicationofthisspecification:Specification.Note18212;Thecommitteeformulatingthisspecificationhasincludedfifteensteeltypesthathavebeenratherextensivelyusedforthepresentpurpose.Othercompositionswillbeconsideredforinclusionbythecommitteefromtimetotimeastheneedbecomesapparent.Note28212;Forgradesofalloy-steelboltingsuitableforuseatthelowerrangeofhightemperatureapplications,referenceshouldbemadetoSpecificationA354.Note38212;Forgradesofalloy-steelboltingsuitableforuseinlowtemperatureapplications,referenceshouldbemadetoSpecificationA320/A320M.1.4NutsforusewithboltingarecoveredinSection14.1.5SupplementaryRequirementsareprovidedforuseattheoptionofthepurchaser.Thesupplementaryrequirementsshallapplyonlywhenspecifiedinthepurchaseorderorcontract.1.6Thisspecificationisexpressedinbothinch-poundunitsandinSIunits;however,unlessthepurchaseorderorcontractspecifiestheapplicableMspecificationdesignation(SIunits),theinch-poundunitsshallapply.1.7ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.

Scope:This specification covers two-component polysulfide sealing compounds, temperature resistant, for use from -65 to +250 掳F (-54 to 121 掳C), low temperature curing from 20 掳F (-13 掳C) minimum, for quick repair of integral fuel tanks and fuel cell cavities. During application, the sealing compound shall exhibit suitable, fluid consistency.
